Clients work with Global Impact Narratives as a strategic communications partner, often in a fractional leadership capacity. Engagements range from ongoing advisory and execution support to focused projects such as communications strategies, campaigns, reports, messaging frameworks, or media initiatives.

Jen is a communications strategist with more than 30 years of global leadership across strategy, messaging, media, design, and content. She leads most client engagements directly and, when needed, works with a small network of trusted collaborators to support specialized or larger-scale initiatives.
Meet our Founder
Jen Hyman is a communications strategist and storyteller with more than three decades of experience leading communications for complex, mission-driven organizations operating globally. She has held senior in-house roles at organizations including The HALO Trust, Living Goods, PAI, Land O’Lakes Venture37, and Global Communities, and has worked across nearly 60 countries on issues ranging from global health and humanitarian response to gender equity, food systems, and human rights.
Her work spans full-scale communications strategies, executive messaging, donor and stakeholder communications, earned media, and high-profile campaigns. She has secured coverage in outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, BBC, Reuters, CNN, and NBC, and is known for translating complex work into communications that are credible, grounded, and effective.
Jen brings a collaborative, thoughtful approach to her work and believes the strongest communications are built through listening, curiosity, and trust. In addition to her communications work, she is a painter whose artwork explores abstraction and place, reflecting the same curiosity and observational skill she brings to storytelling.
Jen holds an M.A. in International Policy and Practice from The George Washington University and a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
